Chux Beta - Inside Out

Chux Beta is a band with the both roots and wings. With origins as a teenage garage band assembled in the late 90s, the foursome came of age of in the barrooms of the Pittsburgh, emerging a decade later seasoned, matured and poised to take flight. Their 2009 release “Now We Rise and We Are Everywhere” put forward a strong set of heavy post-grunge anthems spiced-up with bits of power pop and even touches of neo-psychedelia. The band’s combination of a penetrating twin-guitar attack and textured, melodic vocal over hard, sturdy grooves was well received by fans.

Buoyed by the fans’ initial support the band received significant local airplay and earned them the winning title at the 105.9 the X Winter Rock Challenge in 2010 and were soon opening for established acts, such as Candlebox and Spacehog. Later that year, the group garnered attention from online radio shows from Denver to New York. The band was recognized with the Best Indie Single at the 2011 Pittsburgh Rock Music Awards. They were runner up for Best Indie Album and were nominated for Best Indie Band.

With the release of their latest album “Heartbroken Underground”, Chux Beta is on an upward trajectory. Their second album produced by Dave Hidek at the acclaimed Treelady Studios, Heartbroken Underground positions the band to reach new heights. With Chux Beta what you see and hear is what you get. No frills, no filler, all passion.

Chux Beta‘s commitment is to playing and writing honest rock music. “A couple years ago, I gave up trying to write what I thought people wanted in an effort to stay true to the music that we love” said Ryan Dunn, guitarist and vocalist. Dunn, guitarist JT Bendel and drummer Rich Murray are founding members of the group. Bassist Jim Dunn, brother to Ryan, replaced the original bass player in 2005.
