KiDurango - Golgitha

In the wake of the global market crash of 2008, KiDurango front-man Pete Finnigan skipped his home town of Pittsburgh, PA and hung up the band for greener pastures. He took up residence in Post-Katrina New Orleans where he stewed in the stagnant muggy memory of what music was and has become to him. Four years later, he returned changed. With no affiliations, or endorsements salvaged from the local scene he left behind, he began recording music at ID Labs. The mission was to create something stripped, and raw. He aimed to craft a sound that mirrored the place he had been. He wanted to make something reborn out of the sense that there was nothing more for it to lose. Borrowing the minimalistic backdrop of grunge music, he fused lyrics to the backbeat created in a studio famous for producing the finest Pittsburgh MC’s. The result is the rebirth of KiDurango.
